Audi is our grand ol' man here at Milkwood. We looked after Harry's dogs while he was recovering from surgery at the time Audi was only about 6 weeks old and when the other dogs returned home, Audi remained.
Audi showed us right from the start that he loved the ring and very patiently put up with my grooming mistakes, and while we persevered, we learned together. He always gave his best and was a multiple group winner in every age group.
We didn't travel much in those days, so much of his success was at just around the Central Districts.
His career highlight was winning Best of Breed as a Junior at the 2000 Nationals under esteemed judge Paula Heikkinen-Lehkonen (Finland)from a good entry. What a day that was! He was also in the run off for the group.
As a stud dog he has done us proud,and clicked well with his girlfriend Effee. His best winning son Australian Grand Ch/NZCH Milkwood Isaac Haze is flying the flag in Australia now.
We get reports from the owners of his puppies every now and then, with the wonderful temperament always being mentioned.
Audi is now enjoying retirement here as a housedog, snoozing in his favourite places, but doesn't miss a trick, lining up for a cookie when he thinks I'm not looking...and starts getting a bit vocal when he thinks it's time for his dinner!
