MILKWOOD KENNELS

The Rangitumau Connection

The above photo is of three generations of June and John Lawson's champion Rangitumau Saint Bernards of which we have had a long association.

From left: June with grandmother Brandy"Ch.Shady Lady of Rangitumau", mother Shiraz "Ch. La Chapelle of Rangitumau", then five champion sons and daughters out of the six from her litter by American Ch. Opdykes Mr Mitchell - Ch. La Dominique of R, Ch. Petrus Merlot of R, Ch. R Call Me Brodie, Ch. R  Logans Run and Ch.R Mr Jazzman.

Our first saint Rangitumau Rayn Dance "Portia" was from June's foundation bitch Ch Stiniyasu Kiwi Conection (Imp Aust) as was her brother "Sledge" Rangitumau Instant Kiwi.  We were very pleased indeed when we titled Logan and thank John & June for their faith, friendship and support over the years.  We have now bred a litter from Logan and Phoebe, who is a daughter of Sledge so the lines are continuing to the American type from Cache Retreat & Opdyke's. June has campaigned Milkwood Pali'ser Perchance (Syrah) to her title, and we retained Milkwood Bonnie's Chance (Sophie), who also now has her title.

The Rangitumau Saint Bernards are reknown for their good looks, wonderful temperaments, personality in abundance and being physically sound. What more could you ask for? Picture at foot of page of Shiraz, when entrusting Logan to Allen.
