Can You Help?

Every now and then we have older puppies or mature dogs looking for new homes.

Sometimes for instance we have run on a puppy from a litter with the prospect of showing or breeding from later and sadly the puppy hasn't quite come up the way we would wish, so a pet home is sought so the pup can have its own family and more attention given to it.

Sometimes circumstances can change, as they do, and we get a call from one of our puppy owners in distress when they need to find a new home for a much loved pet when the dog is a little older. This is through no fault of the dog, it's just the way things happen.

There are various reasons why we look to place these dogs. They are well past the puppy stages of housetraining and chewing everything, but still young enough to give new owners many years of companionship. Sometimes they are retired show dogs who have competed for us and done their bit for us breeding-wise and we now believe they deserve a home of their own.

In most cases these dogs adapt very well to new homes. Some dogs like a family with youngsters to burn off a bit of energy. Some dogs, on the other hand, would rather be company for a retired couple looking for a companion to share the couch with!

"Crystal"

Crystal is a three and a half year old blue roan cocker spaniel spayed bitch. She has a great temperament, loves a game of ball, good at walking on the lead, has had the basic training and we are seeking the right home for her. She has a lot of love to give and deserves her own family.
